First time buying shoes & not sandals from Sanuk. Bought 2 pairs for myself & 2 for my husband. He loves his. His fits are perfect. Mine both fit, but somewhat tightly in both. I ordered my typical size, which is 8 in both. This particular pair is more tight than the other. Not loving the blanket interior on that tight fit at the moment, but hoping to break them in… I think with wear the fabric will loosen up. Another thing I noticed is that I ordered 1 pair each in the same style for both men & women for us both. The women's shoes both have this extra wide sole that extends around the outside of the shoe at the bottom, kind of like a bumper. Both of my pairs were like this, but neither of my husband's were. His pairs both have a smoother transition from the sole to the upper, no ""bumper."" Not gonna lie… kinda annoyed at that. It is not a deal breaker, but I may have ordered a men's style in a small size if I had known. The tightness is both in length & in width, though less in width, but if you have a wide foot, you may be uncomfortable. I give them 4 stars because the shoes are very comfortable in the soles, the fabrics on the upper are durable but not too stiff, and I feel like they will break in. They feel well made. The blanket material is only uncomfortable at the tightest spot, which is the heel for me right now. Otherwise, I feel like these are a great breathable sockless option. However, the folding slide heel option though, in my opinion, is not really practical. The fabrics don't sit properly for that to be either comfortable or practical. So I would caution that if you want a slide, buy a slide. I wanted a shoe, so I am not torn overt this, but it is worth a mention. Will work at getting these broken in. If I had not gotten them on clearance, I would be disappointed, but I paid a reasonable price for what I got. I do think the mens options are constructed slightly better, and my husband loves his new shoes. So food for thought.
