For Sanuk ambassador Hunter Jones, comfort and adventure have never been opposites; they fuel each other. Whether he’s chasing waves or wandering off-map coastlines, Hunter lives the Sanuk way: curious, playful, and always ready to say yes.
That spirit led him deep into the Arctic. After a transformative trip to Iceland, Hunter joined pro surfer Dane Anderson and photographer Daniel Gorosteita for a snow-capped surf mission to Norway. “We weren’t just chasing surf,” he says. “We were stepping into a completely different universe.”

Conditions were wild: sun, hail, and wind all in one session. At the famed right-hand point of Unstad, the ocean hit from every direction. But when the swells finally turned on, it was magic. “We surfed until dark, trading waves with locals until we literally couldn’t see anymore.”
That night, the sky followed suit. Hunter and photographer Connor Trimble braved rain and 50-knot winds, waiting for a break in the clouds. When the Northern Lights finally spilled across the horizon, it felt like everything they’d endured led to that moment. “It was a glimpse into heaven. A big reminder of how small we are.”
After hours in freezing water, slipping into Puffy Chillers felt like “a warm hug.” For the journey home, his Sidewalk Surfers carried that same easy feeling. Lightweight, effortless, and built for wherever the next yes takes him.
Seven years in, Hunter sums up his partnership with Sanuk in one word: Joy.
