Sanuk lover but these were too tight

This is my son's 4th or 5th pair of sanuks. His size four ones were getting a little too tight by the toe so purchase one size up - size 5. He could not slip them onto his feet for some reason. They were so tight. He never had this problem. Returning. Will have to go to the local surf shop to try on and find a pair that fits.
