Following the successful launch of our Surfrider Foundation x Sanuk collaboration in 2021, we have joined forces once again to co-create a limited edition, all-gender, coastal-inspired footwear collection. This collection is made using eco-conscious materials, such as 100% plant-based uppers, responsibly sourced leather, a jute inlay outsole, and 20% BLOOM Soft Top Foam, which is created from repurposed algae to help rehabilitate freshwater ecosystems by cleaning polluted water. 

Sanuk has partnered with Surfrider since 2017 to increase awareness, amplify activism, and magnify environmental stewardship around the protection of our oceans. Together, the Sanuk and Surfrider crews have been committed to getting out and giving back, so in honor of this partnership and collaboration, we teamed up with the Isla Vista Surfrider Club to hold a beach cleanup. The team scoured the streets and beaches of Isla Vista, CA to prevent trash and microplastics from polluting our local beaches and oceans. We were able to successfully collect over 500 pounds of trash: including a deserted mattress and a few broken rideshare scooters! 

Beyond our product collaboration and ongoing beach cleanup efforts, Sanuk has donated $50,000 in 2022 to support the Surfrider Foundation, whose work is dedicated to the protection of clean water and healthy beaches.
